Washing instructions
Our burkinis are made from high-quality, certified material that is resistant to chlorine and salt water. With proper care, your Alluchi will last for years.
After each use
Rinse your burkini with cool, clean water after swimming. Chlorine and salt will damage the material if left on for too long. A quick rinse is enough to prevent this.
Washing
By hand: Soak briefly in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent. Do not soak for too long. Rinse thoroughly.
In the washing machine: Use a short, cold cycle in a laundry bag without detergent for the initial treatment of the water-repellent coating, or with a very small amount of mild detergent for regular washing.
Never use:
- Fabric softener: this damages the fibers and the water-repellent properties
- Bleach or aggressive stain removers
- Hot water
Drying
Never wring out your burkini. Gently squeeze out excess water or place it briefly in a dry towel.
Let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight and the dryer. Both affect color and elasticity.
Storage
Only store your burkini when it is completely dry. Storing it while damp causes discoloration. Lay it flat or hang it up.
Additional tips
- Avoid contact of sunscreen and perfume with the fabric — apply these products before putting on your burkini and allow them to fully absorb
- Be careful with rough surfaces such as rocks and pool edges. This can damage the fibers
- Do not leave your damp burkini in a bag or towel for too long
- Never iron or dry clean
